Licensing model

What counts as
a node?

The license is based on the maximum number of Concurrent Runtime Instances that may be Active simultaneously. Supporting components, non-production usage, and passive DR are treated differently under the license.

The licensable unit: a Runtime instance that is running and capable of accepting or processing requests.

Development, testing, QA, training, demonstration, staging, UAT, and evaluation Runtime instances do not consume licensed capacity when they are not used for Production Workloads.

What counts as an Active Runtime?+
An Active Runtime is a Runtime instance that is running and capable of accepting or processing requests. Licensing is based on the maximum number of Active Production Runtime instances permitted to operate simultaneously, regardless of how many Portal, Gateway, Jobs Worker, monitoring, logging, or administrative components support the deployment.
Are all platform capabilities included in every edition?+
Yes. Starter, Team, and Enterprise include the same AI API Mapper platform capabilities. The primary differences are Active Production Runtime capacity, support model, and optional enterprise services.
Do you charge per API call, token, or AI request?+
No. Pricing is infrastructure-based, not usage-based. Once licensed, you can run unlimited API calls, MCP tool invocations, LLM enrichment runs, and internal experimentation within your licensed Runtime capacity — without per-request or per-token billing.
Is this a SaaS product?+
No. AI API Mapper is delivered as a deployable enterprise platform that runs inside your infrastructure. APIs, credentials, audit data, and runtime execution all stay within your environment. You integrate with your existing identity providers and security policies.
What deployment options are supported?+
On-premise, private cloud, and hybrid topologies are supported. The commercial model is tied to Active Production Runtime capacity rather than a specific hosting model.
What happens if I outgrow my tier?+
You can upgrade at any time. Starter includes 1 Active Production Runtime, Team supports up to 6 Active Production Runtime instances and is recommended for enterprise production deployments. Enterprise licensing is available for larger Runtime estates, regulated environments, or custom support and SLA requirements.
How are HA, DR, or non-production deployments counted?+
Runtime instances used exclusively for development, testing, QA, training, demonstration, staging, UAT, or evaluation do not consume Licensed Runtime Capacity when they are not supporting Production Workloads. Passive disaster recovery, standby, replication, backup, or failover Runtime instances also do not consume capacity until they become Active. High-availability architectures requiring multiple simultaneously Active Production Runtime instances are typically deployed under the Team or Enterprise editions.
Do Portal, Gateway, or Jobs Worker instances consume Runtime capacity?+
No. Licensing is centered on Active Production Runtime capacity. Portal, Gateway, Jobs Worker, monitoring, logging, management, and other administrative components do not consume Licensed Runtime Capacity.
Are professional services included?+
No. Licensing and professional services are purchased separately. Optional services include onboarding, deployment assistance, architecture reviews, security hardening, API onboarding acceleration, governance consulting, custom integrations, and enterprise adoption support.
How is the platform priced for non-EUR customers?+
EUR is the reference currency. We can provide quotations in USD, GBP, or other local currencies based on procurement requirements. Contact our sales team for a quote in your preferred currency.
